You can't really have one without the other. Zamstores is a division of Zambooie, Inc. It was originally designed to help smaller acts have a webstore and be connected to Zambooie. It evolved into a permanent solution for a band's merch. Now a band can handle its own fulfillment and payment processing while it grows, and if needs be it can graduate to a traditional Zambooie store where we house the merch, manage the store, order fulfillment, payment processing, and screen printing.
Zambooie is a destination website for all content related to the music scene. Currently, Zambooie focuses on merch, video, blogging, and ticketing. The merch content on Zambooie.com is populated by artists and labels who have a Zambooie web store (check out the Tooth and Nail store or the To Write Love On Her Arms Store).
Zamstores isn't just another storefront. it's an extension of Zambooie. It connects artists and their merch to other artists and merch on zambooie.com. Zamstores products and stores can be featured on Zambooie next to well-known acts. Artists have the opportunity to sell more merch with a zamstore than with a generic shopping cart solution .
Zambooie has been providing quality online merch services for six years (that's a lifetime for an e-commerce company). We began in 2002 with one store and we've grown client by client, servicing each client's needs individually. Our client's include popular local bands, established signed artists, record labels, and positive awareness groups or charities.
We're centered on the music scene, so everything we develop will help artists promote themselves and their merch. A few things in the works are an mp3 player where artists can add their songs to a zamstores playlist, a Myspace/Facebook widget, and Zambooie invoice advertising.
